Another year has started with a new focus and determination to have a successful sales year. We get into the office excitedly and then quickly loose our enthusiasm when catching up with everyone’s holiday stories.
Listen to their stories if you must but you have better things to do! It is funny but true the way to win more sales is to see more people. It is simple but you won’t win any new customers chatting about what everyone did over the holidays. Now is the time to meet your customers, your prospects and even some clients you may have lost last year. Remember if you don’t visit your clients and prospects some else will!
Here is what you should do:-
From Monday 10th January you have 16 working days to meet clients and prospects and create some new opportunities.
Aim to see at least one person per day however, depending on your sales territory you should be aiming to see 32 people before the end of January.
Start with your good clients and ask them four questions:
- How well do you think we are doing?
- Is there anything we are not offering you that we think you should?
- Do you know of anyone who could use our services?
- Can we contact them and mention that you suggested we call them
After the first week you should have some referrals from your clients. Now you can arrange to meet them and qualify them for any new opportunities
