Do you have the balls to be a success?

Do you have the balls to be a success in sales? It is a New Year and we have all come back with new thoughts and ideas on how this year is going to be the best ever. It can be if you do something about it but you have to change the way you sell. For some people it will be a slight minimal change to others it will be a massive change.

 

So here is what you should do for 2012
 

You are going to do the opposite of what most other sales people do. You may upset some people, you may feel uncomfortable at times but you will improve your performance and give yourself a better chance of increasing your sales figures.
 

You are going to go against the norm of all of the other sales people and do this over the next 12 months
 

  • You are going to ask for commitment before you make a presentation so that you know what you have to do to win the business
  • You are going to ask really personal uncomfortable questions so that you understand exactly what your client wants
  • If you are not happy about something you are going to withdraw your offer so that the client knows you will not be pushed around (this has worked for me just last week!)
  • You are going to negotiate for what is good for you not just what is good for your client. There is nothing worse than winning a deal you are not happy with
  • You are going to go over someone’s head to get the sale if someone isn’t taking you serious or you think they are taking the p”+@
  • You are going to ask for the order

 

Some of this may be painful to you but your mortgage, food, holidays and entertainment gets paid on your results.

In my experience salespeople who have become successful have figured out that they have to behave like a salesperson and that is to sell.


If you continue to do what all the other salespeople do you will not succeed. If you do what a few of the successful salespeople do you will be a success.
 

However it takes balls to change and if you have the courage to change you will have a great 2012
 

You must go against the crowd to be a sales success and take up better ways of selling and then your sales will be coming in more often, quicker and more profitable.
