Close sales quicker
Today’s tip was something that came out of a session we had last week when someone asked me how they could close their sales opportunities more quickly. After a few questions on their examples I stopped them and told them to listen to what I was going to say as it is important if they wanted to close sales quicker.
People make decisions based on emotion; they make decisions in their mind. They make decisions based on a lot of things such as
- Pictures
- Words
- Feelings
- Sensations
When someone has a decision to make on whether to buy your products or services, all sorts of things are floating around their head – pictures, feelings, words and stuff
The thing is the more images they create in their mind the greater the chance and more likely they are to want to buy your product or service
Buying decisions occur in an instant as your prospects assess your products and services in their heads. They are looking for their needs to be met, they are imagining how your products and services will fit their needs – in retail terms they are trying on your products for size. Once they can see and feel that your products can meet their needs they make the decision quickly.
Now you understand what your prospects are doing how can you match their feelings and images to your presentation to give you a better chance of a sale?
To get to a decision quicker you need to find out in detail exactly what your prospect wants and then you tell them in his/her own words exactly how they can get just what they want using your products or services.
When you use their own words and you show your prospect just what they asked for they start to imagine themselves using your products and experiencing the needs they want to meet being met
This dramatically cuts down the time to close a sale
Find out exactly what your prospects want and present to them in their own words
Prospects believe their own words more than they believe your words remember this and you can close more sales quickly.
